Description
A 3 footed Art Deco bowl. White porcelain with a hand coloured brown transfer print. Finished with a soft all over creamy lustre and gilding. The lustre shimmers with a rainbow of colours without being bright and garish. The pattern is of sprays of flowers and what looks like a Bird of Paradise to me but, according to the pattern number, it is a Pheasant. There is a pattern number hand painted underneath the nice clear Maling Pottery Back Stamp, 6550 which corresponds to the pattern name ‘Pheasant, Old Gold’..
